Flu vaccination

Anyone over 50 can now book a free flu jab this autumn through the Lloyds Pharmacy website. The W4 location for the vaccinations is Sainsbury’s. There seems to be plenty of availability.

Yes, you'll want all the covid and variants jabs plus boosters, your flu jab, and anything else they've got on the shelf.

I was sharing information for the many people who have the flu vaccination. It seems to have touched a nerve with you.I’ll do what I want with regard to any vaccination. I really don’t care what you want or do. But no doubt if you get ill, you’ll want the assistance of the NHS.  Leave people to make up their own minds. I’ll leave you to your YouTube videos.

Get all the covid vaccines you can - Pfizer, AZ, J&J and Moderna for mix 'n' match. Only leave the house if you have to and keep well away from everyone. Wear a 3 ply surgical mask at all times and get tested at least twice a week with one PCR and one lateral flow. Sanitise every 5 minutes. Keep your car windows open, especially if driving alone.

With you all the way Stewart - we've had the Pneumonia and Shingles jabs available when you reach a certain age - as well as the Covid vaccinations and the flu jab every year. Also always do the bowel cancer test when sent out and for women keep up with mammograms and smear tests, why wouldn't you? Medical science is helping us live longer and healthier lives - in my view only morons ignore these opportunities.

People are being lured away from preventative treatment, I'm glad my partner was of same idea as me and wanted the Covid vaccine, it mustbe difficult if some couples of different opinion so would just say do what'sbest for you.  Which is worse Covid or the Vaccine, simple answer so please get the vaccine as soon as possible is you have not had it yet everyday is a risk of infection.

Thanks for clarifying. I’m not altogether sure what evidence there is for your assertion but you might be correct bearing in mind that GP services are not part of the NHS and are private businesses commissioned by the NHS.

I get flu jab every year from surgery. Last year I was getting the shingles jab but couldn't because I had shingles.  I have had it 14 times now and really hope to get the jab this time.  i find all these essential hen you have carers coming in and out as they are more likely than the average person to carry a virus as they are exposed to more vulnerable people with viruses'.  I used to get flu about once every 3 years but I have not had it since I had the first jab 10 years ago.  So they work for me. I like being alive and well and even a cold could kill me off.

Yes, Vaccinations work. It’s good to know that one can relieve the pressure on your surgery by booking an appointment free of charge at Sainsbury’s through the Lloyds Pharmacy website.

Boots is also offering free vaccination for the 50 and over.  You can book online through Boots website.
