Ealing Residents Parking Permits - Question

Hi,Does anyone happen to know what happens to an Ealing residents parking permit if a person moves out of the CPZ zone or out of the burough?I know the person is supposed to cancel the permit but what happens if they don’t do that straight away?I know the wardens now scan registration numbers which check a database of valid parking permits.  However, I wonder how closely linked that system is to the councils database for other council services i.e. registrations for council tax etc...If anyone happens to know it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!Joe

Presumably the new resident will apply for a parking permit at the same address, in which case that will, I imagine, cancel out the permit of the previous resident. I hope that is the case because otherwise that is an abuse of the system and potentially  reduces the availability of parking spaces for actual residents. I’m not suggesting that is your motive for asking btw. The council will reimburse a proportion of the cost of the residents’ permit if one moves to a different CPZ , out of the borough or dispenses with a car altogether or at least they used to.
