Hitting the nail!

'Whenever I hear the word 'consultation' I smell a rat. In the mouths of politicians, this weasel word means; "We are going to do something really nasty. But first we'll ask a few people if it's O.K. - and then go ahead anyway.'  With thanks to Paul Routledge in today's Daily Mirror.

The thing is that consultations are required as part of processes in many cases, what is missing is any committment to have to abide by the result. I think I'd rather stop wasting time and money on these bogus exercises and have the authorities so as they damned well please - they will anyway. But, if we are to go through these farces they really do have to start to be meaningful, it is something that really has to be considered.

Back in the room, Ken.As Vanessa has said, this is to do with public monies being spent to "engage" with the public. In the absence of that, which we've seen countless times, LBH, TfL and the mayor have done what they damn well pleased. The pretense is a waste of money.Good on you for trying to compare lack of proper governance, representation and due diligence with an entrepreneur inventing stuff.
