Energy supplier recommendations

Hi there — NPower have shunted me over to E-On Next and my gas and electricity bills seem to have quadrupled. Can anybody recommend a good energy supplier who doesn't charge like a wounded rhino? Many thanks! CB x

Not sure about their prices but Octopus is wonderfully efficient.

I’ve been with various suppliers but have to say Octopus are the most helpful and least pressurising. Instead of a smart meter, it is possible to use your brain and switch things off.

Moneysavingexpert, set up by Martin Lewis, is my go to website for market comparisons. Igloo, who I’m with, are good but have just hiked prices by 14%. It might be a good time to fix as energy prices are rising so any attractive variable rate will probably be short lived.
