Traffic congestion Chiswick High Rd/ Chiswick lane

The road works outside the new cinema have finished yet the temporary traffic lights remain causing severe congestion.I've now contacted senior officers and Cabinet members of LBH requesting prompt removal of the temp lights.John

Hello John.On Friday the traffic hold ups westbound on the High Road...extended deep into King's Street W6.I witnessed bulky lorries and others doing 3-point turns on the narrowed carriageway outside that Sainsburys. Such was their frustration.Well done anyway. Best Wishes.

I came back from the flower market (going great guns btw) this morning along C9 but when I got to Chiswick Lane it was so confusing I simple dismounted and crossed as a pedestrian.Dangerous to say the least as there seemed to be no cycle lane lights working.

Yes, the lights are a mess for all concerned, and good that John’s chasing up on this.

Thanks John for chasing Hounslow. At 4.50pm today westbound traffic way all the way back to Tesco Express on King Street and lots of cars were turning round. Hanif Khan should come and have a look at the mess Hounslow Council is making of traffic in Chiswick.

"Yes, the lights are a mess for all concerned"That's funny. When I said that, Tom, you posted irrelevant StreetView photos to refute that. Then we have you're logic about the cycleway and housing prices. If we extend that thinking here, CS9 is the cause of the traffic mess because it came first and traffic came second. Glad that's been sorted not to mention you've seen the light about the traffic light situation in this patch.
