Mattock lane access this weekend

Hi there. I’ve posted this on the Ealing forum too but they are less active than this site so someone here might know the answer. I am Questors theatre member, we’ve seen a notice saying access to Mattock lane from the east will be closed this whole weekend. There is nothing to say that temporary access will be allowed from Culmington road for non residents during these 3 or 4 days will be allowed.We have shows this weekend and a lot of our audiences would struggle to walk distances to get to us. I’ve checked the Ealing roadworks list and this isn’t coming up ( it’s to allow a large crane to access some building works) Anyone got any ideas to help us find out the answer? Thanks a lotAlex

AIUI the Culmington Road end is normally one way going west. However if residents are to be allowed access then presumably this will need to be two way controlled by a temporary traffic light. In the first place in the absence of cameras being installed for the weekend its difficult to see how non-residents could be prevented from entering Mattock Lane if only to drop people off. ISTR There are free parking bays on the south side of Mattock Lane. If these were to be temporarily suspended for the weekend there would need to be some notice to that effect, I believe.michael adams...

I can't see a post on the Ealing site.  You don't say who the notice came from.  Surely they have left contact details?

Hi Philippa. The notices are posted at the entrance to mattock lane and they’ve  also posted physical notices through the door of the theatre but it says nothing about alternative arrangements. I tried to post a question on. The Ealing site but I’m not a member there so it won’t let me

Hello again, as promised and my thanks to members of the Northfields FB group who live on Mattock Lane.The closure is from 0600hrs Friday 2nd until 2200hrs Sunday 4thEntry and exit will be at the opening/junction from Culmington Road.Temporary signage will be in place as normally it is the no exit opening.There will be parking restrictions in place for the duration of the weekend, closure from junction of Bond Street up to Barnes Pikle. The disabled parking spaces on Mattock Lane at the Bond Street end will also be suspended.There will be 'traffic marshalls' sited on Culmington Road to ensure that only vehicles requiring access will be permitted to pass. Hope this helps.
