It is a worldwide issue and very hard to close down and they are very easy to start up. You just have to be aware and on the boil. I do believe some emails clients have a bad Filtering system when it comes to spam. Of course, you can combat that yourself for a small fee with extras added in. Like your house, you protect it yourself or pay someone. If you don't pay it's up to you to understand and protect yourself. Not easy for some so the best option is to understand a little more and don't make communicate with anyone asking for personal details in emails, texts, or over the phone. If need be phone directly those who claim they are from wherever to check Best to use another phone or give it a good 30 mins before ringing for other reasons or make sure you have a dial tone. Even ring yourself first to get the engaged tone. Obviously, this applies only to some but for them, it's good advice. If you are plagued with phone calls to a landline, take the other options available and stop automatically picking up the phone to answer when it rings. And don't play funny games with them, that does not help either and just wastes your own time.
