parking permit renewal reminder

Mine expires on June 30. No email reminder. I've raised this with Cllr Guy Lambert, who is going to check whether reminders are being sent with the responsible Hounslow Cabinet member, Hanif Khan. It'easy to renew on line, so check your permit expiry.

Same with husband’s parking permit

I haven't had a reminder for years, I believe it's up to the permit holders to be proactive and request a new permit.

If I recall correctly LBH has undertaken to send out reminders as service to residents BUT the responsibility to renew a parking permit remains with the permit holder.

My permit expires on 30 June and I've had no reminder. I know of no other service that I use that requires an annual renewal but doesn't remind you, even when the prices have increased, as they have this year.

Of course if you forget they can fine you, no connection I’m sure. I’ve got a calendar reminder but so far I’ve also always been reminded by Ealing Council. So it can,  and possibly is meant to be done.

Attempting to renew my husband's residents permit I am confused that I was asked to pay £168 in May 2021 for a new permit for my new car (registered Sept.2020) which is fully euro 6 compliant. This replaced my old car which was not euro compliant but was the first car to our household.  In May 2020 I paid £80 for a permit.I paid the sum requested as I assumed that my new car was now being regarded as a second car.  There was a gap of 6 months between the disposal of my old car and purchase of the new one. However, in trying to renew the permit for my husband, his car (reg 67)is also euro 6 and ULEZ compliant and instead of being charged £84 for a first car as per the website, the price shown is £148.Can anyone explain this difference it does not seem right?

I have just managed to answer my own question by going through different Hounslow websites. My car is petrol, euro 6 and second car so cost is £168Husband's car is diesel, also euro 6 and ULEZ fully compliant but there is a surcharge of £62.50 to be added to the £84, first car charge.
