Nat west

I went to nat west yesterday in Chiswick - it was like a ghost town in there -only one employee seeing people -    not all of us will go on line as firstly people do not trust on line with so many scams etc . it feels  really not good - there are so many of us do not feel we are being looked after any more by our banks even though they hold our monies with absolutely no interest .if nat west closes down in Chiswick - what are people supposed to do if we need a bank to go into. All these banks closing - they are not looking after us any longer - especially the real elderly  who need their help. What next  Barclays - santader and many more going to close - Chiswick used to be a great place to live - not any longer.

It is hard to avoid the conclusion that banks are finding they aren't losing that many customers when they close branches. You would have thought Nat West on the High Road would be overwhelmed with new business but it appears not.

Been difficult to use them as much as we would have like with all thelockdowns and not wanting to go out.  I rely on the ATMs if they go don'tknow what to do other than change over to Metro who have counter service.

Well Paul - I thought these companies are supposed to work for us - especially as they have our monies - not the other way around - they have put our current accounts with no interest etc. I am just thinking these are companies taking the Mik. Perhaps we should put our monies under our beds !!!

Santander and Barclays are still open so NatWest may see more custom when they close.

Alas the times they are a changin. (Happy Birthday Bob) The only time I have handled cash in the last year or so has been when shopping for an elderly neighbour. I can recommend two of the newer banks, both online only, Monzo and Starling. Great features and miles ahead of the bricks and mortar brigade. A change worth embracing I feel.

Perhaps banks should move to smaller premises and or share branches.I am sure Metro Bank will downsize at some time.Lloyd and Halifax are merging their brands.
