Councillor Eason

In today's news web site it is reported that Councillor Eason has been suspended from the Labour Party because he had the temerity to stand up against the leadership of LB Hounslow.  This is the classic behaviour of a banana republic where those in charge feel they can do whatever they wish and silence dissidents

Perhaps Curran got the idea from Johnson who withdrew the whip from 21 MP's who did not toe his Brexit line? Banana Monarchy in that case.

Agreed - just as bad

The difference is that he was suspended on a majority vote of his Labour Group colleagues after a three hour debate. Conservative MPs weren't given that opportunity.
