OK Chris, I'll take you bait. What do you know about Polio in terms of both its immediate physical effects and it's longer term ones  ?From your posts I'd say it could be written on the back of a stamp. In 1955 I contracted Polio and until 1957 I was in an Iron Lung machine, giving you the benefit of the doubt I assume you know what that was for, but result was diminished lung capacity. Other medium and long term results are, it's a longish list:-1. Limb length difference of 1.25 inches between right (shorter) and left leg.2. I have no calf muscle on my left leg as its severely wasted, hence I always wear trousers or long skirts.3. Impaired lung capacity.4. Left arm is also substantially weaker with muscle loss compared to my right arm.5. Very weak right hip, knee and ankle as that's the leg I favour. However, because I had excellent physiotherapy for decades, worked out, rode horses and swam I managed to live a relatively normal and active life for many years.Unfortunately 6 years ago my childhood illness started to affect me adversely, something I was told by experts would eventually happen, and it has. My walking capacity is now severely restricted  but I choose to use that capacity to walk my 2 canine companions and shop mainly at Waitrose sometimes Sainsbury's. During lockdown Covent Garden fishmongers and Mackens I used their delivery services  but why should they increase their OH's during tough trading times ? Especially if I can go and collect using my car which I've always combined with dog walkWho the hell are you to tell me how I should live my life and how I should travel to do my essential shopping ?Your comments to and about me, show the type of person you are, an extremely unpleasant one with a complete lack of empathy for anyone who disagrees with your narrow minded and uninformed views. So in your view I should walk from CHR to Dukes Meadows, around it and back, then to TGT and back home with heavy shopping  ?Truly, you're something else and more. Oh and btw I don't need or want any sympathy whatsoever, my response is solely to set you straight on facts. Feel free to apologise...
