Old Station House

I was disappointed to see that Old Station House in Grove Park has not reopened.Anyone know if it will?Thank you in advance

That's a shame.  I always liked going there.....partly because it was always empty so you could have a quiet drink with friends on a huge sofa.  Perhaps that was the problem :-)Food was usually good though!

I walked past the other day and it was a sorry sight. However in one of the windows there is an orchid. It can't have seen a drop of water for months yet not only is it still alive, it is in full bloom (and yes it is a real one).Hope springs.

I was told that Councils could no longer give permission for pubs to be  turned into flats.The old Duke Of York, at thhe corner  of Devonshire Road and Fraser Street, was sold off by Fullers 3 years ago, apparently to a Saudi who wanted to build flats thhere, and is till empty (though probably a few rats in there).
