Sainsbury's Nectar Card

Has anyone else had their Weekly Offers suspended? I haven't had any now for over 3 weeks. There's an interesting article in Martin Lewis' MoneySavingExpert which highlights this. Some people are still getting them (my neighbour still is) and some are not. I rang Nectar last week and was told it was a technical issue and I would receive them this Monday, which hasn't happened. It's not a technical issue. Sainsbury's has just stopped giving some customers their Weekly Offers. Why? Most unfair.

Got my offer the other day and saved them all on the app plus the free rub. Not that its worth a lot but it adds up over time

You're right, Julian, they certainly do build up over time. They give a huge boost to my Christmas shop. The free rub (oooh matron!), is pathetic. "You have won 5 points!". Wowee!

I stopped receiving the weekly offers too, so I rang nectar and they explained that Sainsbury’s/nectar had changed their wording. Instead of receiving ‘weekly’ offers you are now getting ‘regular’ offers. I haven’t had any for three weeks now. If you google it, you will get articles from (I think) the express which explains the situation. Maybe you were using the offers too often! I used them almost every week . . .

Me too, Jann! You can bet that their revised weekly offers scheme will be more beneficial to them and not to their customers! I await with eager anticipation to receive my 'regular' offers, but I think I might be waiting a while.  I used to get my weekly ones on a Wednesday. I don't even get the paper offer slips at the till any more. I just don't get why some are still getting the weekly ones, and some not. Bit of a swizz, if you ask me.

I just completed tomorrow's Sainsbury online delivery – and (in order to get it free) bought lots more wine using the 25% discount (ends Sunday) - bringing the bill just over the £100.Then I noticed I was still being charged £4 for delivery.So I went looking.  The free delivery for spending over £100 has gone.But I found a new system where you can buy midweek free deliveries when you buy an annual delivery card.  I just got the full year for £30.  You can buy half year or 3 months.Means that a weekly delivery will cost £30 a year with the card OR £200 without..Bit of a no brainer I'd say..Hope that helps someone..

More style than age, I'd say.And Tim is doing just fine - the change to being an indoor cat (permanently) doesn't appear to have bothered him one bit.Then again, he did always absolutely loathe getting caught in the rain!

No Nectar bonuses for the last few weeks here either but I thought it wouldn’t last.  Probably just an enticement to get people into the stores during lockdown.Given the news today of Sainsbury’s massive loses, I am not surprised if they are cutting back on offers, they just can’t afford it.If you have been collecting Avios that you can’t currently spend on BA flights then you can now convert them to Nectar points to spend in Sainsbury’s.

I transferred nectar points to BA to get the bonus and the ‘double points on your shopping at Sainsbury’s’ - so far no extra points at all. Has anyone got this offer yet?
