Maybe saying bye

Maybe not, but just in case...Anyone here has experience with a good cremation service company for a lovely, sweet pet.

I am sorry . I don't have any suggestions  but you have my sympathy

Many thanks.

I have had three pets (2 cats and 1 dog) cremated at Dignity in Hook, Hampshire. They were recommended to me years ago by a friend. They are so caring - lovely people and they have beautiful, peaceful surroundings - memory garden etc. My last visit in November 2020 was a bit different due to Covid regulations. But the care, sympathy and empathy was still there. Telephone number 01252 844572, but I do hope you will not need their services for a while. Best wishes.

Thanks, it’s alway hard become so much part of the family. It was the right time she was suffering bless her, had her since she was 8 weeks old. Shame I can’t explain to the dog where she has gone, she’s been searching all afternoon

I understand Claire. I had to let cat Robin go last November - my dog Mona really missed him. She sniffed his body before he was cremated - I think it helped her to understand.

Sorry for the loss of your beloved cat. My heart goes out to you.

Sadly it is the hardest but kindest decision we have to make.  All my cats have had their cremations arranged by the vets and I have their ashes in lovely wooden caskets in the shape of a sleeping cat.....unless you know what's inside they just look like wooden ornaments.  They are placed on the living room window sill which is where they all loved lying in the sun.....like to think they are still doing what they loved best.

Us too - my boys are all together now in a small area of the garden with individual headstones, apart from our very much missed TJ whose lovely casket is near where he used to sit with me, he's been gone three years nearly and we still miss him. His plaque reads 'Simply the Best' and he was!

Thanks all for sharing your experiences and suggestions. The Queen Once Said "Grief Is the Price We Pay for Love". It's so true.

Indeed, and when you're grieving it does seem a very heavy price indeed. Still, on the whole, I think, better to have loved and lost than never etc.  My departed loved ones - people and animals and there are many - frequently visit in my dreams which I find a great comfort.
