Phone call from Amazon, thank you for placing order at cost £300 odd, if you never place the order, press 1.    if you get a call like this hang up.

They have been targeting me for sometime using different Company, they have given up on the B.T. broadband scam, just waiting to see what they will come up with next.

You’d either get someone who would try somehow to get your bank details, or your number would be logged as a person already halfway to being conned.

They use post also, I have receive B.T From to fill in direct debit and return,they have tried this one a few times, it states I have been put on a new contract and have to pay by direct debit.  Please ignore anything you aresent with these forms included.

There's quite a few floating around at the moment.- Delivery scams. Text message from Royal Mail/DPD/FedEx either stating a delivery has been failed and a small fee is required for redelivery, or that you need to pay an admin fee. - Tax scams. Usually a phone call, a prerecorded message will claim to be HMRC or NCA and state that you are going to be arrested for failure to pay tax.- COVID. There's a few related to the pandemic. Either to do with furlough cash, fees required for a vaccination appointment or even the WHO wanting your details!Unfortunately, we wouldn't see so many of these if they didn't work! The delivery scam is quite a profitable one as so many people are getting so much delivered.

Have had scam emails saying I have been observed via the webcam of my computer watching porn and doing 'things' (my parentheses) to myself and that this has been recorded on a video - and that if I don't post so many £100s to an undetectable bitcoin account the video will be shared to my family and work colleagues. I laughed to myself being of 'an inactive fogie' but still decided to tape over the cam just in case 'they' can spy on you via the integral webcam of one's laptop. Can they?

I answered a mobile number that was a questionnaire scam; I said to the caller: I was in the middle of having sex, the caller hung up. The number was added to my already overflowing blocked list
