Disagree entirely, Claire. There is, as you say no edit button, but it's very simple and quick to check what you have written prior to posting, surely, and more so if your particular job is proofreading and editing, among other skills? Why is it not so important on this site, that you are prepared to drop your standards? I would have thought quite the opposite. Your standards don't appear to be all that high then do they? Or does this forum not warrant them? I never post anything before checking what I have written, and then correcting as and when, for content, grammar and sense. Not quite sure how you make the deduction that the OP lives a 'very cossetted' or 'very boring' life. Whether she does or not, is irrelevant. Your post comes across as a tad vindictive, if not jealous. I hope she carries on posting more of the same. I remember many years ago, some half wits were told were a woman lived and that she was a paedophile. It was only after they burnt the house down that they found out she was in fact a paediatrician.
