BandQ Feral Cats.

I'm not sure if anyone has posted this previously, but in case someone is interested in knowing what has happened to the B&Q feral cat colony since John passed away, please see this article.

In summary, the feral cats have been relocated to a farm out of London where they will be monitored and cared for as needed.

Oh, thanks Louise.  I got the HAWS update yesterday but it just said that the man who lived under the motorway who sadly died recently had helped trap them and that they had been put back there after the TNR procedure.  I thought that was a bit odd.  Glad for these cats.  I learned when trying to rehome some feral cats I had been feeding a couple of years ago that there are lots of farms looking for feral cats to home where they keep an eye on them, including their medical needs,  provide a sheltered space with eg hay in a barn for them to sleep in, feed them and rely on them to keep the rodent population under control.

Nice to hear a bit of good news!

Is the suggestion of tying them in a sack and throwing it in the river in poor taste?

Simon Temple ● 2020d

Yes

Just checking

Thank you for the info Louise, kind people.

Is that supposed to be funny Simon.??

This is so good to hear as I was worried about what would happen to them after John's passing. I didn't want to ask on a public forum for fear that someone would hear about this and decide to pay the place a visit with unkind intentions. I used to cycle past there ever day on the way to work and occasionally leave packets of cat food on the wall for John to feed them with, knowing he wouldn't accept money. If I was going to visit B&Q I'd pop in there with my children and see all the many cats come out. So the name 'The Amazing Cat Garden' got christened.

Geez, I get jumped upon because I dare to post a dissenting view to the never ending mass fawning over Prince Philip, whereas Simon think it's okay, however tongue in cheek, to make a sick joke about killing animals.

Simon is a sick and vile individual who thinks it's funny to mock cruelty to animals. Remember his delightful contributions to the thread on the death of Freddie the seal?

I do! (I'd had a beer though.)

Hopefully thrown in your face!

I might have dribbled a bit. Does that count?
