Residents Parking Permits - moving house

I am moving house soon from Chiswick Station (CS) residents parking zone to Riverview (RV) zone. It appears from the LBH website impossible to change my parking permit or get visitors permits until I have a council tax letter or utility bill - both of which I can't get until I move in. Am I missing something or does anyone know a way around this please? I have emailed the Council which gets forwarded to Serco and they basically say no!

It’s annoying but I think the only way round it is to get a temporary residents  permit for the month

There is no alternative that I know of other than a temporary permit.

Thanks Phil but even for a temporary permit you have to be registered at the address. Crazy!

That’s bonkers! I moved two years ago and they accepted the tenancy agreement, rules must have changed?

Perhaps you could buy visitor permits from your new neighbours?

I have applied for a new permit having changed my car.  Still waiting for the DVLA to send me the log book which could take up to 6 weeks so on my application I sent a photo of the sales document.  I have received no temporary permit just a reference number.  Checking the website, my application is acknowledged with the caveat ‘Pending’.My car is parked on the street with the reference number printed and put on the dash.I am a bit anxious and don’t want to be ticked but will wait and see. What I do know is that my previous car cost £85 for the permit but not ULEZ  compliant.  My ‘new’ car is the latest ie 6 on the pollution scale and petrol but cost X 3 more.

Just spotted the traffic warden looking at my new car.  He has assured me that his computer is showing my application and it is fine.  He said that the permit is shown but then said something about 1 month.  I have looked this up and that would indicate a temporary permit for one month but I have paid for a full year.  Oh dear.  Confused.com

hi i moved twice in the past year - i applied in advance for bills and council tax using dates in advance and asked the people still living at the old house for the new instructions if i didnt get it online - i sent this as evidence to the parking and they were happy and gave me the permits
