St. Nicholas church

It's Good Friday today. Sadly, vandals tried to smash their way in to St. Nicholas church, Church St. W4 last Saturday night. I sent W4.Com a photo of the damaged glass door and news of this outrage but it has not been posted on the website as far as I can see.I'd post the image here - if I knew how!

Ive no idea why but maybe someone has asked for it not to be reported,maybe maybe it was not vandals trying to smash way in but someone throwing something at the window while passing. Ive no idea without photo or from direct source unless your connected with church and know exacty what happened. Just trying to find reason why not on the front page which i think it would have been but most likely for a reason not

I sent a report to the website last Sunday and got a reply asking me to send a pic which I did. I suggest you ask Father Brandes for further information. I'd be pleased to send you an image but don't see how I can do so on this discussion forum?I'm intrigued by your attempt to make a distinction between "vandalism" and throwing something at the glass door when passing.Meantime, since we're on the subject, a car thief tried to break in to a garage and into cars parked at Chiswick Wharf (opposite the church) early on Wed. morning - as captured on cctv.

So sorry to hear that Robin. Very upsetting for everyone who attends and volunteers at the church. It is a much loved building.

So saddened to see the destruction to the glass door to St. Nicholas, who ever did this must be a very sad and unhappy person.  The church has been kept open every day with a volunteer welcoming people who want some time to sit and pray, I rather fear now it will remain locked.

This may or may not be directly related to the damage to the church but living in the vicinity, I have noticed a significant uptick of graffiti recently.What is in these people's tiny brains I wonder?
