I'm now in week 10, and have reckoned jab 2 is due in early April. I will ask for information when booking my B12 jab, due about the same time.

Had my 1st vaccination on 1st Feb but not yet heard about 2nd, although on the paper o was given it said 3 to 12 weeks after the first jab.

I chat with my Gp this morning about some results, in passing I did ask about my second jabI had the first 24 jan and she said I be getting roughly around middle of April.Hope this helps

We booked our second jab at the same time as booking the first so have a date. Perhaps worth using the NHS booking system.

Most people I know booked the first and second jabs at the same time, through the booking system.

For those of us who were lucky enough to get the first jab in the first half of January when called up, we cannot book our second jab.  People further down the list can book both at the same time.  We have to await a call.  In effect the surgery says "Don't call us, we'll call you."

I maybe wrong, but in general discussion with a medical professional, then call for the Second vaccine has been taken out of the hands of our local GP’s.I would like to be proved wrong, rather than  relying on a government department to organise it.

That was our experience.  We were called to attend the next day at the Health Centre.  A day later received a letter inviting us to book.  I went online and found we could not book for the second jab but to wait until called.Interesting, none of the venues offered for those making their own appointments offered any venues in Chiswick area.  Neighbours who did not get a call, booked both at the same time at John Bell & Croydon in Wigmore street.  The date offered for their second is exactly 12 weeks from the first.  They enjoyed the outing but with congestion charge and parking costs it was a bit of an expensive option.

My wife had her first and second vaccination booked. After the first vaccination she had the second vaccination cancelled, and was told she would be contacted about the second vaccine.That was 10 weeks ago so there’s two weeks to go for twelve weeks

So far, the team seem to have performed well, so I am confidently awaiting an invitation in a couple of weeks' time.

I understand that the second vaccinations are going to roll out on time as long as supplies are available. There is no point in calling the GPs as they are dependant on supplies coming in. And the vaccination minister has said he is going to make sure supplies to London are stepped up this. Because of the way that supplies come in, it may be like last time where they came in and only then could patients be texted. My husband had two days notice. But as we are all in lockdown that is not a problem!

Continental countries aren't using the AstraZeneca vaccine.Their supplies should be sent to the UK to speed up the second dose here.

Has it been approved that for the second jab they can give a different vaccine from the first one?I understand that the first weeks injected Pfizer but latterly the majority have been AZ.

No they are still reviewing if giving different jabs is OK for 2nd vaccination

At present those who had Pfizer will get a second Pfizer and those who got Oxford will get a second Oxford

At a meeting this am, we were told that roll out of the second dose starts on 22nd March. Supplies are expected next week but emphasis on the expected. The plan is that it will be 10-12 weeks after the first dose. It will be the same manufacturer as your first dose. You will be contacted to come in and get it.

I have now booked a second vaccination using the website. Although, I will not be getting it at Fishers Lane but in South Ealing. My view was that it takes pressure of Fishers Lane which inevitably is very busy and I was able to choose a date and time.

This is what Hounslow are sayingYou will be eligible for your second dose of the COVID-19 vaccination from 10-12 weeks after your first dose. You will need to go back to the same location where you had it before, so that they make sure you receive the same type of vaccine again.Depending on where you were first vaccinated, the ways of confirming second dose appointments differ; this is due to the logistics of operating different sites and different vaccines, compounded by vaccine delivery schedules.If you were invited by your GP practice (e.g. Chiswick Health Centre, Thornbury Road Health Centre, Heart of Hounslow, Feltham Assembly Hall), wait to be contacted by your GP.If you were invited for vaccination at a hospital site, e.g. West Middlesex University Hospital, then you will be contacted by the hospital site to book your second dose appointmentsIf you went to a mass vaccination site or pharmacy site, you can book your second appointment online via the National Booking Service www.nhs.uk or by calling 119 if you do not already have one.

The link I previously posted is a very quick way of booking an appointment for your second jab as long as you have had the AZ jab and do not mind going to a different venue. I was offered a few different days and times. I also thought it would reduce the pressure at Fishers Lane.Interestingly,  steward  volunteers  have received their second jabs at one centre that I am aware of because a number of people had not turned up for their appointments and the medic in charge used the vaccinations rather than throwing them away.

I have just had a text inviting me to book for my second jab. My first was on 7th Jan. at Chiswick Health Centre.I have booked for Tue of next week via the link in the text message. They are giving a choice of 15 minute windows.

My wife and I had our first vaccination on 9th January (we are both in our late 70s) and have just been given our second appointment for next Tuesday. Well ahead of the 12 week suggestion. The organization is extraordinarily good.  The NHS and volunteers have done extraordinarily well

Great just received my appointment for next week - not ideal as it's for 8.30am!  No chance of moving it to later in the day so shall have to sit up ready dressed all night to drive myself and find parking.  Grateful to be having it though.

Just got my second jab notification.Astra Zeneca.  On the basis of the research those vaccinated have less chance of getting a blood clot than those who haven't.But ask Michael Brown for a definitive conclusion!

Had our second Pfizer jabs on Saturday - no probs. apart from a sore arm for about 24 hours. Didn't seem to be as many people doing the vaccinations compared with the first time.

Susan, if you initially had the AZ vaccination you can arrange your second by going online.  It won't be at the surgery where you had your first necessarily but you will be able to have a bit more choice  over the time and date. But obviously the surgery will be in touch with you too.

2nd jab today for family member at 9.5 weeks after first.  They were called to have it at The Fountain, Kew Bridge, and were very impressed with the organisation and numbers going through.
