He did sound odd at the start of the programme but either he improved or I got used to it because he sounded normal(ish) by the end. I was surprised that he didn't go into the gory details but he mentioned further procedures which wouldn't keep him off air. Bearing in mind the cystitis I wondered if it was 'men's trouble'. He mentioned horrific painkillers so he maybe had some sort of surgery and if they were Tramadol he has my full sympathy, they're horrendous. 3 days for me and I was out of my mind, wouldn't ween myself off because there was no way I'd put even one more in my mouth
