Best Western Quarantine Hotel

How does everyone feel about having a Quarantine hotel in their neighborhood?  For some reason I thought all the hotels would be out by the airport.

Part of the hotel was commandeered by the government last year to house illegal immigrants. The use of the hotel for quarantine probably poses less risk to the community.

Apologies for changing the topic slightly.3 star hotels in the vicinity of Heathrow eg Ibis Styles, are on the net as charging £50 a night (or even each night for 10) for a double room. Less if only one person books in.  Yet the Government is charging £175 per night EACH person!  Even with 3 meals thrown in how can they possibly justify that?

Premier Inn, Chiswick are charging £29 a room per night at the moment.

Hotels will get approximately £70 per night to provide accommodation and three meals a day. The other costs are for security and additional tests as someone has said.

It’s more concerning that G4S have been given a huge contract to provide the security. G4S  - the company that has failed to deliver on a huge number of government contracts including the 2012 Olympic Games when the army was brought in to sort it out.
