Fill the kettle and a pan with water, Know where your torch is etc...
and all those other preparations you need to make for burst water mains, electricity cuts etc. This is the type of weather when pipes freeze and contracting and expanding pipes often crack...Luckily the solar lights I bought from a charity at an exhibition several years ago are always ready ie no flat batteries. The batteries leaked in the old torch and the lightbulb no longer works...
