There's a frustrating lack of firm news at the moment, but the story seems to be as follows:Monty was being exercised yesterday evening in "the park near river in Chiswick, close to Corney Reach". [could be Dukes Meadows or Chiswick House Gardens] "He was running after his ball. And just never came back. He has great recall and always comes back. He doesn’t wander off. It was really dark in the park."Later in the evening, the daughter of a Grove Park resident discovered a young cocker spaniel roaming the streets, and took him home. Her mother was shown Monty's photos by a neighbour, and believed it was the dog that her daughter had found. They took him to a vet. Then Monty's owner updated her original Nextdoor post to say that "Monty has just been found. We were told that he is [in] Richmond. We are on our way to pick him up. Thank you all so much for your help and every kind word. It meant a lot."Hopefully the vet is in Richmond and the dog that was found in Grove Park really is Monty. But the owner hasn't yet confirmed this on Nextdoor.
