Strange emails - are these scams??

PATRICK VAN DEN BERGH   I have received an email from this person.   I vaguely recognise the name but really can't for the life of me think why he's emailed me a message, a sort of poem/list of sayings but I simply do not understand.  Does anyone know who this man/company is? At the same time, I get two identical emails "From: Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHSFTYou have a new hospital letter. Read it online at https://nhs.my/VBVmkLiKEWGL"    I presume this is a scam so not opened it but did scroll down to blue box "View Letter" but it didn't open - probably just as well.   I intend to delete these 3 emails and hope neither were genuine and have instructions about any new Covid appointments.   What a complicated world we live in!

Hello Jennifer.The Chelsea and Westminster Hospital emails might not be ascam.It might be an idea to give them a ring in the morning just in case.I have a DrDoctor account there and this looks ok.I've just logged into mine and it looks the same.It had part of my mobile number on it and I was texted a code to confirm who I was and give me access to the account.

JenniferThe NHS email is not scam.I followed the link and they are asking you to go paperless with their communications with you instead of relying on the post .Don’t put a link like that on a public forum because it could of lead to a personal letter sent to you from the hospital.

"Read it online at https://nhs.my/VB....."Well, it does seem like a genuine mail, but I am appalled by the NHS using a Malaysian-registered domain (nhs.my). Using an unfamiliar foreign country code in a link is normally the sign of a spam mail.  If I received such a mail which I judged was genuine, I would complain to the sender about deliberately making it look like spam.

‘Patients know best’ is such a misnomer.  I can’t make head or tail of these emails.  I have yet to learn anything useful from any of them and it’s not for want of trying!

The Care Information exchange is used by Imperial and is for records. Chelsea & Westminster and West Mid aren"t part of this healthtrust.Dr Doctor is more text/email based  used mostly for appointments. Guys & St Thomas's use it as well.

Ben - yes thank you so much - that's why I know his name.  Before lockdown a small group of us oldies used to visit OSO artcentre in Barnes for lunches in their lovely cafe overlooking the pond and then onto a film at the Olympic Cinema.  We also used to visit for the OSO theatre shows, always the Panto!    Now minus 2 Oldies, so group diminished, hope the remaining 3 - 4 of us survive to enjoy more happy days in Barnes.

There seem to be a lot of different systems being used.  It's crazy that they don't think to introduce these properly/better especially to the many people who don't use a lot of IT systems all the time - eg the youngsters to get withdrawal symptoms and look at their phones every couple of minutes. Many older people have mobiles that they leave switched off because they only used them when they went out.
