Dodgy indeed - as we are being pushed by Mayor Khan to get all fired up and 'go electric'. We then ask ourselves what about the metals, particularly cobalt, that is used in these 'electric cars'? Aren't these electric car ingredients sourced from dodgy African regimes, the Congo being one, where corrupt barons run the cobalt mines and where boys who should be at school are used as mine workers? And, then of course the imminent ULEZ rollout to London's South and North Circulars may be viewed as a bullying tactic to force drivers to go electric that will only facilitate the more thriving corruption in regimes from where car manufacturers source their required electric car metals used in vehicular batteries and such.
