Should we be wearing medical grade face masks. It looks like some countries are going to insist on them in shops and public transport. At £3 each, one use this is going to be pretty pricey.

I think most of us would settle for the moron faction wearing anything at all and wearing it properly!

Even better, try a full diving suit with helmet, twin cylinder breathing apparatus and umbilical airline..

I think as long as we practise these 3 rules - hands, face and space - we will be fine by wearing either surgical mask or cloth face covering.

You may well chuckle but when the first lockdown started we were in the inevitable queue and saw a woman with a full face glass diving mask out shopping. You've never heard so many people giggling at once.
I'd like to be assured that all those working in hospital wards in very close proximity to sick people had these first.

The question is why cannot every body have them? We should be producing them in sufficient quantities.

Single use masks are a lot of plastic. Washable ones better for most of us out and about. Fashionable accessories.

..available on prescription if so vital for health?

If we can afford anything at all why should we burden the NHS with even more costs when if we’re just going out to pick up some shopping or take the dog for a walk we can choose to wear something that suits us and just needs a wash at home. Lots of wonderful ones readily available for cheering us up a bit and some of them are really funny.
Social distancing. One step to the left, two steps to the right turning into a merry dance whilst admiring masks.
Not in this country. However I know a pensioner in a EU country and she is given 30 a month free.
