Restrictions possibly until may

Then what > July > Sept Is it now time all those in parliament on the front benches get together and get some plan in place for what one would call daily LIVING. Most small buisneses say they have just enough cash reserves to march at best and then for many its likely to be all over. Can we carry on with Pm updates followed by rishi updates every time the restrictions are extended and Kier telling us every week everything is to late and not much else. Im beginning to wonder how many people in many aspects will be able to survive. I dont see much except  "Stay Home, Protect the NHS, Save Lives" popping up everywhere on a hourly basis and i say that as its popping up more and more on social media let alone TV

That is exactly my thought and I think we are getting to a point where we need some specific direction for allWe know you can't plan and predict the future but the government will from the likes of sage know in rough terms that the next 6 months will be roughly the same. On that basis I think those with liabilities need to know a little more of what's in the offering upfront rather hanging out until current offerings run out. Time the PM spoke out in real solid terms what's ahead and what is likely. And we don't need the opposition offering anything but your 1 or two weeks late. How about the opposition offering solid suggestions and working with the government over ideas. Time for action, time to open the door for others. I don't really want to here at press meetings more numbers charts and unknown ideas on the virus from the health experts like we are not sure or we think

Exactly. They could set out the worst case scenario if they did nothing: so many deaths per day, endless lockdown. Or, with no new variants, and good roll out and take up of vaccine and most people obeying the rules, a realistic end date. People then might really dig in and help this to work.The government also needs to join with others for a world strategy, for all our sakes.

On the basis that 6.3m have received the 1st vaccination so far and we are now vaccinating 500,000 a day (hopefully rising) it will take to the back end of March for everyone to have received the 1st dose and early June for everyone to have received 2nd dose.Chances are that vaccinations will ratchet up a bit so the timescales might be a little shorter than that.  But once everyone has received 2nd dose all restrictions should be eased.  Basically we are going to be under some restrictions until the beginning of Summer

Government ministers have been repeatedly asked to explain why the UK has one of the worst coronavirus death rates in the world.  Is it because conservative Cllrs are encouraging people to swan around buying lunch and coffees and attend unnecessary Farmers Markets instead of following the instruction to STAY AT HOME?

We need restrictions (full lockdown)  until September when, hopefully, everyone will have been vaccinated. In the meantime the government has to get a grip and start tightening up on those not adhering to the rules. They also have to ban jogging because joggers are not behaving responsibly by keeping away from other people people. The mist spreading is horrendous!!

Too easy to blame Boris, or anyone one else for that matter, as individuals we have to take responsibility for our own behaviour, the guidelines are simple stay home unless essential to go out. When the guidelines have been relaxed it doesn’t mean push them to the limit and over. We saw no one over Christmas our decision regardless of the guidelines too many people are not taking responsibility for their behaviour which in turn is spreading the virus. We don’t need the government to tell us what to do we know stay home, simple.

Boris should have learnt by now that he cannot trust the great unwashed to behave responsibly so he needs to stop his liberal generosity whilst the death toll rises.

Steve that’s a tough one.......,government is trying to balance everything an impossible and thankless task when as you say so many morons think they know better. What these morons seem to forget is that they are making it much worse for everyone and businesses. It’s a classic case of the minority spoil it for the majority. Stay home simple.

Yes agreed Jayne, we all know what we've been asked to do.  Some can't manage without their cloudy lemonade of course, which is fair enough. It's about not taking risks.  I am desperate to see my family and I am making the sacrifice.  Hopefully we'll all get our jabs in due course and start getting back to some sort of normality.  In the meantime we all have to do our bit.

Teachers are having to work on two fronts. Teaching the children of key workers, who have always physically attended, and then prepare lessons for those learning at home via computers. With, I imagine, of the stress of keeping apart from their colleagues with whom they could normally sit and unwind.

Everyone is having a tough time, some more than others. Spare a thought for all those who have lost their livelihoods, a different tough time but tough. Let’s all pull in the same direction to get back to living and employment for millions of people. Stay home, give the NHS frontline workers a break they are exhausted because of morons in our society. If you know anyone breaking the rules talk to them, make them see sense or if appropriate report them to the police!
