Which vaccine is being offered locally

It appears to be Pfizer one. Has anyone had the Oxford one locally.

Haven't heard a word about either vaccine in this area (south of A4).

The Moderna is going to the USA and EU first so that explains why we will not get that until the spring. There seems to be areas with nothing happening and others where it is. I know of a lady of 85 in Surrey that has had the Pfizer and the 2nd shot as well.

The trouble is that it's a classic 'Not my job, mate' situation. LBH, Health Centres, Local GPs, NHS England can all, with some justification, decline responsibility for organizing the logistics of mass vaccinations. The result is that the residents of the area (i.e. us) feel totally ignored while constantly hearing news of thousands of vaccinations taking place elsewhere.

What is really awful is that some dipsticks are refusing the Pfizer vaccination and saying they'll wait for the 'English' one, if they're not totally stupid I'd like to know who is.

I have a couple of friends in their 70s who have been called in by their GPs. That's over Twickenham way. I suspect that a lot of GP jabs will depend on who they can get hold of on the day.

I was called by my GP last Thursday and was booked into CHC for my taken jab on Saturday morning and bang on time. I was in and out virtually within 20+ minutes.

It does not really matter what the vaccine was, they are all GREAT!!! I believe that I had the Pfizer one, no after effects whatsoever.

The English one produced in the Netherlands or Germany!!!!! None of them will fully protect you with only one jab, as the nurse who tested positive for corona 19 will tell you after her second jab was cancelled.

When I was in the Health Centre on Friday for a repeat prescription, I heard one of the medical staff explaining that it was the Pfizer vaccine that was being given.
