Maureen, thank you for your lovely post. If your cat can get on with other cats, and cat-friendly dogs (two) it may be worth having a chat. But it may be my views won't suit your cat, as personally I don't agree with allowing cats to wander freely, certainly not in London and rarely elsewhere unless totally safe including free from cruel traps set for foxes etc in the countryside. I have catproofed my garden, so they love the garden but can't go beyond unless on a leash (they are all leash trained). Means if they are not in the house, they are in the garden, they love the outside space but come to no harm and protects wildlife frm the predatory instincts of cats. The downside is I find myself running around the house with cat toys on a long loop around 2 am before I go to bed!
