Royal Mail Nightmare

Had two messages from Royal Mail. First to say they have a tracked delivery for this morning, second to say it has been delivered, no it has not ! Tried the tracking number but that was rejected and I am unable to find any way to talk to anyone or send a message. ?.?

John said the tracking code was rejected. Tracked items from commercial companies now not monitored at the same level as the traditional "signed for" mail. Certainly the postman isn't required to get a signature on delivery. Once he has put it through the letter box its status is just updated  to "delivered" and a text or email message is automatically sent to the recipient. Unfortunately there's  no means of knowing if it has been put through the right door!
