Have searched the Forum, but can't find the answer...are the cameras now live on Grove Park Terrace for the school restrictions 2.45 to 3.45? Thank you!

The council have been pretty useless at letting people know when the school streets restrictions are operating - we know the hours but not necessarily the days. Supposedly they are working on installing signage that clarifies the position but I'm sot sure anything more has happened since I raised it with Hanif Khan towards the end of November. The current position is confusing in that officially it is term time, but because of lockdown schools are closed. However children who are deemed to be vunerable or whose parents are classified as essential workers can attend school. On that basis I would err on the side of caution and presume school streets restrictions are in operation.

In fact I've just walked down Grove Park Terrace. At the Hartington Rd end there is a School" sign (2 children in silhouette) which has two (presumably flashing) lights attached. I don't know how these are operated - manually or by a timer - but if the School Streets restrictions are operating I would expect the warning lights to come on.
I’ve not seen any cameras up - anyone else spotted them?

Those school warning signs have been there for at least 12 years. On most such signs, the flashing lights are switched on manually when a crossing patrol is on duty. Arguably they aren't needed when the School Street motor vehicles ban is in operation.

The lights were flashing the other evening, quite a long time after school hours.

I'm mystified then. The restrictions were supposed to go live in November but there is no update on that on Hounslow's website. There are supposed to be signs and cameras, but I saw no evidence of them so presumably the new regulations aren't yet in operation. I've tried to post the relevant plan but I'm struggling with the website. I'll try again shortly.
Thank you everyone. I think that there is a camera mounted towards the Fauconberg Road end as you drive into Grove Park Terrace from there. This is why I wondered as I inadvertently drove down there from Fauconberg yesterday at 2.49 ( grrrrr) having religiously avoided Hartington Road for weeks! As you say, very unclear with the school " half open". Are we allowed to drive through even for a legitimate business reason where we are stopping for at least an hour? Who knows......Thanks again. Time will tell and I will share if I get a ticket.

Isn’t only the stretch between Burnaby Crescent and St Mary’s Grove? So, mad as it may be, you could drive down one, along Gordon Road a bit, then up the other.
Yes Vivienne, I think you're right. Not 100% sure, but yes, that's a good option if you think in time! As said before, takes a while for years of brain programming to be de-coded for new regulations! ;)
I have been seeking clarity from Hounslow Council on this issue since before the weekend. Apparently a decision has yet to be made. I will report back as soon as I have any further information.
