Hi Stewart,Sorry I'm late - had to brave the outside world..Yes, there are always a few academics who will publish or broadcast the kind of words you want to hear. And since I've a feeling you're a very bright and a nice bloke, I'm sure you realise some of them can always be found in academia.Yesterday (as you were listening to a palliative care doctor) I watched a long interview with Oxford's impressive Regius Professor of Medicine, Sir John Bell. Apart from giving a detailed insight of the current position, he also went out of his way to predict (he didn't have to) that with luck and a fair wind, we will be largely on top of this virus come Easter.Like the ex Guv of the Bank of England, John Bell is Canadian, very balanced, very calm and highly influential across the wider picture. He ran through a long list of the massive choices the Government has made and is still making, to address this pandemic day by day and week by week. The conflicting pressures most readers on here know about, including yourself. His own view was that mistakes were always going to be made and have been made. But on the whole the government has done bloody well.He also stressed the sort of stuff I wrote to you before. That the public simply must continue to behave itself and in a few cases behave a lot better. And that we should all (70% predicted) present ourselves for the jab when called. And that we should all (like Keir Starmer) get behind those fighting to sort this out.I think that's the right way and I was hoping to persuade you to feel the same...Cheers
