Is there anywhere in Chiswick where i can recycle bottles?

I think you can still recycle bottles in the car park at the rear of Sainsbury’s in Essex Place, the recycling bins are near Acton Lane.

Google “as nature intended”. It’s an organic shop on CHR near Barclays. They have containers for bottles - not sure if still there?

The reason why the Council reduced the number of bottle banks was because of kerbside recycling!  Finding a friend who is in an area whose collection is before/after yours to borrow some space in their recycling bin with their permission is another alternative.Be careful with walking to Sainsburys with bags of bottles - especially when on the way to the tube/work etc - just in case the bottle bank is full.  Leaving stuff on the ground by the banks is considered to be fly-tipping.  I believe that these banks are the responsibility of Sainsbury's and not the Council.  Misuse them and we may lose the last of these useful recycling banks.

If you have kerbside recycling why do you need to take the bottles to somewhere?We’ve all put ours out tonight for collection in the morning.

"Leaving stuff on the ground by the banks is considered to be fly-tipping. "It doesn't seem to matter any more. Fly-tippers aren't pursued or punished by Labour run Councils. It's a free for all in west London!

Sainsburys recycling bins are nothing to do with the council.They are emptied by Biffa who collect all of Sainsbury’s waste and they cannot empty all the recycling bins more than once a day.When most of us have weekly doorstep collections why is so much being taken to Sainsbury’s?Hounslow are brilliant. They never miss collections. Arrive promptly, don’t drop anything, smile and wave. Return the empty boxes stacked neatly and say “good morning” before moving on to next door.Last week they asked if it would be ok for them to put the empty boxes back inside my gate. “ yes thanks 👍 “Job done and no problem.
