New Scam re NHS

I gather this is yet another scam which involves the NHS.What we received was an email which says on the left'We have identified that you are elgible to apply for your vaccine. For more information and to apply ........ with an invitation to tap into an application form.  DO NOT DO SO.On the right side of the page in blue is the NHS logo and thenWe need to prove ownership of address.  It then asks you to have a debit/ credit car ready and the information they want you to enter.Please advise anyone (particularly the elderly) who is likely to be taken in and thinking that they have to pay for the vaccine.

Who does the e-mail come from ? You can usually tell its a scam from the e-address - if it doesn't show gov.uk then its not kosher.

Richard you are quite right.  It has a telephone no =44 7903 264681 and on the top line it as the aA symbol and Not Secure - application form.comI am aware that there are a lot of elderly people who forget to check the top line first and will trust the NHS symbol So best to make them aware.

Also a lot of B.T Broadband scams at the moment, calling to ask about your Broadband, who with etc., also send letters through post and direct debit forms to complete and return. Always check with B.T if in doubt.

This scam was reported to the Police and the Cyber Crime unit are investigating.They are anxious to speak to anyone who received an original message of this scam which will help them to trace the source.  If you hear/know of anyone receiving such a scam message directly, please do report it to the Police and ask for it to be passed on to the Cyber Crime Team.
