Pyrmont Road car access

Can Pyrmont Road residents reach home from any of these roads? Harrington Road, or Burlington Lane or Sutton Court Lane or Park Road?

Harrington Road:  I assume you mean Hartington Road. If you start from Chiswick Quay or anywhere north of there, you're OK. But you can't start from south of there (near the A316) because you'd be caught by the "No Motor Vehicles except permit holders" sign near Chiswick Quay. Permits are only given to residents in CPZs RV and CS.Burlington Lane, Sutton Court Road (not Lane), Park Road: No problem.  You can start in one of those roads and cross the railway by Grove Park Bridge or Grove Park Terrace, then via Thames Road.The only two restrictions that affect residents of Pyrmont Road are: - No through journeys between Grove Park and Kew Bridge via Thames Road (doesn't apply to journeys starting or ending in Pyrmont Road) - No access northbound on Hartington Road at Chiswick Quay.

When does this start?I see: all ok accept via Hartington Road where the camera is located.This is nonsense, I mean the Hartington Road camera prevents the majority of the Strand-on-the-Green residents from accessing the area from Chiswick Bridge. It forces making a difficult right turn from the Kew Bridge into Strand-on-the-Green. It creates more traffic where it is already congested.

Common sense after the consultation  will to be to include SOG registered cars to be included in the Hartington Road Scheme. Maybe all Grove Park/ Strand permits? More worrying for I notice there is no longer a right turn arrow on Kew Bridge into Strand on the Green. I assume this means TFL will attempt to remove right turn off the bridge in the future. Will this mean going up to Chiswick Roundabout and back?

You might even have to go onto the A4, drive towards Hogarth Roundabout but turn left at Porsch garage, then right, right  again onto Sutton Crt Rd, wait at traffic lights and cross over A4 to SCR south and enter SotG that way.  Any thing to hamper smooth passage of motorised vehicles and their passengers!

Iris: Assuming you live on Strand-on-the-Green, and it has been suggested it is common sense to include Strand-on-the-Green in the scheme. Do you disagree?

No - I live in the North of GP. By preference if coming home I would come via SOTG (so I guess that makes me a rat runner!), but that has often had long queues in Brentford so have come home via A4/Sutton Court Road. I can't see why, if the trial is made permanent that STOG should not be included in the HR access. Russell Pearson has made suggestions about how they could widen the database to include all of GP (the problem is a small database and no admin staff to administer), and head of traffic said they would look at it. I think if the scheme is continued that it would need to be widened to everyone in GP.

I’m assuming there’s an ongoing cost for these traffic schemes. Is that going to be covered by fines?

Iris: we in SOTG do not care about Admin, we WANT to get home without difficulty of proposed diversion or forced turns from the South, as it used to be for hundred years - simpleFurher if anyone living in Chiswick ot Brentford wamt to share this road we do not mind.

Thank you, from someone having lived at the far easern end of Hartington Rd nearly 50 years and regularly used SotG in my travels, very grateful for your remarks    Of course it is a nonsense to divide us as it is nonsense to deny you access to/from Chiswick Bridge via Hartington Rd.
