Kind neighbour here has fixed it - they or a carer had left the door ajar and everything had started to thaw hence pools of water! Thanks for your suggestions. May I take this opportunity to wish all Forumers a very happy if slimmed down Christmas and here's hoping for a brighter, better and healthier New Year - I'm going to forget this one every was!
