How many Hearns are there????

First we have Sam posting without the Councillor before his name. Now we have John Jacob Hearn posting - and I think there was another one last week. How many Hearns are there???

They breed out of that futuristic eco-home down Park Rd South in the Chiswick House & Gardens Conservation Area.

Michael Brown ● 2135d

Rather an unnecessary post, Iris.

Richard Greenhough ● 2135d

Lots of Hearns around Acton and Chiswick area.

Janice Evans ● 2135d

Possibly unnecessary post but amusing to see Sam posting without his Councillor title, and I don't remember seeing any posts from other Hearns before this last couple of weeks. Could it have anything to do with the LTN project in Grove Park I wonder?

Don't forget Mr Pastry

Peter Milligan ● 2135d

What about Benny, is he really Iris’ uncle?

Russell Pearson ● 2135d

Just three of this direct family that live in Chiswick, one in America, and a good handful in Canada. Any more family questions? I didn't realise my dad being a Councillor meant I wasn't allowed to vent about local issues. Have a nice day. -Jake

John Jacob Hearn ● 2135d

Well said.

Janice Evans ● 2135d

Now there's a name from my youth. However, Richard Hearne aka Mr Pastry had an extra "e". Is Iris related to Graham and Damian ?

Richard Greenhough ● 2135d

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Ken Munn ● 2135d

In the spirit of humour and not wishing to cause offence...I believe that Iris lives almost opposite to Harvard HILL!Anyway, well responded Jacob.

How many Hearns are there???Does it really matter, I know two other unrelated people with the same surname. One has the same full name as Cllr Hearn, so if he started posting on this forum it would be rather comical.  Good Post Jack, keep keep up the good work.

I am not entirely sure what is meant by this. Time spent around the Hearn dinner table (or just spoken to us) will tell you my dad and I often disagree about politics, so it can be pretty telling when we agree on something. Especially when it comes to an issue that I've personally experienced the negative side of and what to express that, but instead people appear to be amalgamating me with my dad. You can keep making false assumptions about people you've never met over the internet if you would like, that is your prerogative. Such a warm welcome from my fellow locals makes me think I was right to leave this website alone before now.

John Jacob Hearn ● 2135d

Damn — you found me out! Yes — I took part of the name from the local road so that no one would know who I am........I will have to find another name to post under now. Merry Christmas everyone!

Iris Hill ● 2135d

I'm related to the Hearn's in Acton so know there are a few around,

Janice Evans ● 2135d

Jake, you are very welcome to post here, and don't be put off by the carping fraternity. Everyone has a right to have their say and indeed if you want to take on your father here on some topic, please go ahead. If you want to use your familiar name, rather than the full name that the site registration suggests, if you click on your name in blue at the bottom left of the screen you can edit it.

Richard Greenhough ● 2135d

Good for you Jake.

Andrew Jones ● 2135d

I think you're unfair to Iris, Richard, if you're suggesting she was "carping". Her question was perhaps a little tactless, but doubtless wholly innocent. I too was a bit confused by Jake's father appearing in more than one guise. Jake was obviously offended by her post, but unnecessarily so in my view.

Robert Fish ● 2135d

Iris...there's even a Hearn Hill in London! I'm a Wolseleyite of old myself.  I used to think that the Wolseley Restaurant in Piccadilly was named after us...but no...it is on the site of an old Wolseley car dealership!

Jim Lawes ● 2135d

KenNot surprisingly you're being your usual snide self, try saying something constructive for a change, instead of trying to ingratiate yourself with a minority group. Sheesh !

Loraine Pemberton ● 2135d

Season of goodwill, eh?

Robert Fish ● 2135d

Hah!!Savour every word Robert..  pick the bones.. relish the irony..It's an Xmas feast sans the emoji sauce..xx

Stuart Kerr ● 2135d

Hear hear - well done Jake - keep at it!My name was made up by long ago immigrants from Poland or Russia, father in law escaping to an uncle here to avoid being dragged into the Russian army before the 1st WW.

Jennifer Selig ● 2135d

Herne Hill. One of the offspring lived there.

Ken Munn ● 2135d

And a happy Christmas to you, too, Loraine.
