Who’s your money on?I think Philly might just squeeze ahead of Bart.

I suspect Santosh will win because the judges are excited by learning about his Nepalese food but in my view the other two have shown themselves equally capable of producing incredible dishes.

GF > "Who’s your money on?"This year is a very tough call. The standard is very high.Alex is quietly getting on with it - no real fireworks but consistent, excellent cookery.Bart is strong on flavour and Marcus always seems to be very impressed with his skills. But, he had a significant setback at the Chef's Table.Santosh is amazing. His presentation of Nepalese cuisine in what is mainly a classical fine dining setting is a fantastic achievement.My prediction:1. Alex2. Santosh3. Bart

Santosh to win! I'd definitely eat in his restaurant as I love spicy food! Having said that, they're all good and worthy of winning. Final tonight - can't wait!

Last year’s winner, Stu Deeley, stood out because he had a signature style - British classics with a modern twist.  I think Santosh too has his own unique approach which will stand him in good stead if he can keep his nerve.  I’d be happy if he emerges as champ.  He’s a lovely man and who can resist a good curry?

Has to be Santosh.  He's so creative.At the beginning my money was on Bart and Alex was very impressive but Santosh is salivatingly good....as was the smiley one who has sadly gone.

Alex’s dishes were incredible! My winner is still Antosh as he was amazing and he was so sweet and funny. I hope he reaches his dream of opening a restaurant.

I remember Masterchef when Lloyd Grossman introduced it years ago. I think it went out on Sunday afternoons. We laughed at Grossman’s weird transatlantic drawl. The format was different and it introduced me to many new things I’d not heard of.  I have stopped watching as Greg Wallace just annoys me although he’s not helped by the editing which emphasises raised eyebrows, intakes of breath and the shaking of heads. I’ve recently watched the rerun Fanny Craddock at Christmas. It’s marvellous in its own way - such a different era. I was waiting for the famous line from Jonny about the donuts but that must have been from another series or perhaps just a myth.

Our house was equally divided between Bart (having mother as top class chef plus working in a few Cordon Bleu restaurants early on must have helped!) and Santosh who is so against the normal model (family background and style of cooking) but all agreed Alex was a deserving winner on the night.If you think this series suffers from too much Greg, feel even sorrier for the most recent Australia Masterchef series where all the prior long running judges have been changed for the worse. Plus the overall style of running the competition has been revamped for the worse - my family found it over manipulated TV and gave up on it.
