Resident Hit by Car on Park Road
According to recent posts on social media a resident in the south of Park Road was hit by a car the other day. It appears that local residents on both Park Road and Staveley Road have previously warned the Council that forcing vehicles into the narrower residential Park Road, round a blind bend on a road with limited road width was dangerous. Residents have been constantly alarmed by the many dangerous traffic movements and the high speeds with which vehicles are travelling down Park Road. As one Staveley Road resident wrote to the Council in advance of the Diagonal Barrier being put in: "it is not right that we attempt to solve a traffic issue on Staveley Road and make it worse on Park Road."Fortunately the person hit by the car was okay. As a video shows it was a lucky escape this time, maybe not next.
