Ruth Cadbury is concerned

She has tweeted that she has done something. Written another blooming letter to goverment. Why you may ask ? Well, she is concerned about Pubs, breweries, restaurants and many other businesses that play a huge role in our local community & economy. I swear the lady is a complete waste of space https://t.co/32KyEUlvxs

She's always been a stinker. As a person, a counciler and as an MP.

Still waiting for a non automatic response to two e mails.

I read that too. Wondered why, if she was that worried, why she wasn't helping us get rid of LTN's and Cycle Lanes to help the businesses thrive in Chiswick High Road for example. It is wonderful she's writing letters on behalf of certain causes, but completely refuses to get involved in the things that matter to the residents of the society she supposedly represents.

Well, I think I read she supports the bicycle lanes

John Southey ● 2151d

Ive said it beforeWhen it comes to what ruth likes then its a case of working for herself and not you. Wont even talk or take up the concerns of her constituents if you have concerns or issues she does not support. That is an issue in itself when one is suppose to be representing you, even if the reply if not what you were looking for

Ruth is, and always has been a cyclist, but I don't know what people really expect of her. She is an opposition M.P. - so her concerns about things going on in her constituency can only be followed through the normal channels of writing to ministers etc. This is something like the Brexit scenario where Remainer MPs were representing Leave constituencies. But I do think a statement that she personally might support these things but that there are serious ocncerns being expressed by a number of her constituents should be forthcoming.

Gawd, Basil, would you also describe somebody as a 'bounder'?

Anne England ● 2150d

Is this the same hopeless Ruth Cadbury who recently abstained in a Parliamentary vote where she had the opportunity to help free the fit & healthy from ongoing unjustified imprisonment? Thought so - useless cow.

Michael Brown ● 2150d

"so her concerns about things going on in her constituency can only be followed through the normal channels of writing to ministers etc" What a load of complete cobblers So we vote in a MP who at the time is in opposition and anything local has to be dealt with by letter to the goverment in power. How about being non bias and listening to what people have to say locally rather than dismissing becasue of own thoughts Talk about a bias responce full of baloney

" the cost of alcohol-related harm, which had usually been cited as £21bn a year across the UK, has been “generally underestimated”. The overall economic burden is due to be between £27bn and £52bn  (1.3%-2.7% of GDP), researchers said."

I don't follow her or anyone on twitter so am unaware of her views generally. However in her defence I have to say she and a member of her staff have been very helpful to me for which I am grateful. If emails are not replied to perhaps ringing them and leaving a message might help.

Ben Gemmingen ● 2150d

I'll drink to that!

Jeffrey Cope ● 2150d

I notice in her letter that she doesn't appear to know the name of the 'world famous brewery' in her constituency.

James Weatherley ● 2149d

She probably doesn’t want to highlight the fact that the brewery in Chiswick is owned by the world famous Japanese Asahi Group and that the Chiswick  families made a small fortune selling it last year.

Steve Taylor ● 2149d

They are not Chiswick  families anymore,  Steve. They have bloody great estates in Hampshire and the West Country.

Roger Talbot ● 2149d

Yes I guess that after pocketing £250 million why would they want to remain in scruffy old Hounslow.

Steve Taylor ● 2149d

During the Corbyn years "everyone" always said "at least Ruth Cadbury is really good MP"This was based on her "support" for REMAIN and her soft lack of support for Corbyn.Don't expect her to ever voice her opinion on something that is not safe or obvious.

Richard Potts ● 2149d

"Don't expect her to ever voice her opinion on something that is not safe or obvious."Well, she is firmly for the cycle lanes and traffic chaos which are causing misery for thousands to pacify a few so she walks a tightrope as she alienates motorists and the elderly! I would suggest she is not safe at all!

Steve Taylor ● 2149d

The original John Fuller, whose name the brewery carries, was a Wiltshire landowner who was brought into the business in 1829 to inject some much-needed capital. So they were not a "Chiswick family" in the first place.
