Thames road post office

Having heard that most post offices are deluged with people- I have a small package to send and wondered if this post office is open - I have just tried to phone but no answer... I would be so grateful to know . Thankyou.

It is open and they posted their opening hours on this site recently.

Check the post office website - www.postoffice.co.uk, go to branch finder, you will find opening hours there.  It is open this week.

Helen, I've bumped the thread with details of their opening times for December. Unfortunately, the post office website's branch finder details aren't always up-to-date as I discovered standing outside Chiswick Post Office at 8am on Saturday morning.  It doesn't open on Saturdays until 9am.

Thankyou for your replies- I'll try tomorrow at 9 unless they open earlier- don't trust websites as they are so often wrong nowadays- thanks for your replies.

FYI - my mother will be opening the post office full-time and working usual hours from Weds 2nd Dec until Xmas eve. I usually take time off work every year to help out but will be taking more time off this year - we think that's the only way for her to work full-time to meet the huge demand during the Xmas rush whilst also keeping safe given the R rate.To confirm, the usual hours are:Monday - 9am to 5.30pm (closed 1pm to 2pm)Tuesday - 9am to 5.30pm (closed 1pm to 2pm)Wednesday - 9am to 1pmThursday - 9am to 5.30pm (closed 1pm to 2pm)Friday - 9am to 5.30pm (closed 1pm to 2pm)Saturday - 9am to 1pmPlease see the list of Xmas last posting dates - https://www.postoffice.co.uk/last-posting-dates

You can book a collection from your door step. The post man will knock while on his/her round and take your items from you. It's very simple to arrange. Just type "royal mail collections" into Google and you'll find it.

You can do all online now and arrange parcel to be collected from your homehttps://www.royalmail.com/collection
