Really loud - what's to celebrate? Poor pets and wildlife.

I think some people in novemebr buy fireworks for birthdays not to far along in the calendar I could hear them so must be loud given your position Over

My two Jack Russell's have gone into complete meltdown so thanks to the inconsiderate Morons for letting off incredibly loud fireworks. But much worse, do these morons not think about the distress they cause to our wildlife ? Are they that inconsiderate and basically stupid ?

I went outside my flat in Arlington Gardens and they looked like they were coming from the Chiswick Business Park area. They went on for quite a while and looked to be a public display, not from someone's back garden. I just can't think what could possibly be being celebrated now. Sorry about your doggies, Loraine, thankfully my cat Alfie is totally unphased by fireworks.

I walked down towards the bottom of St Albans Avenue but couldn't pinpoint the location. There has not been a single night round North Chiswick since late October that these f..wits haven't set off fireworks. Usually just as I am taking the dogs for their evening walk. Do they get home from work about 5 pm, quickly swill a few beers and then set off fireworks for the next couple of hours? It's illegal and upsetting for our animals. And no, to any idiot who thinks that's mollycoddling animals, it's called being responsible for their happiness and welfare.

It's not illegal unless it's after 11pm.

Well you may be right, but it should be. It certainly is beyond specific, recognised UK holidays.
Are they early Thanksgiving celebrations? Will be more this weekend I expect.

They were still going off at 10.30 last night somewhere in the Grove Park area.

Thanksgiving doesn't involve fireworks.

No, Thanksgiving in the US involves Black Friday, which we've now imported. How long before we start celebrating Thanksgiving over here?
I've met the odd American who was incredulous that we don't celebrate it here. Clearly not a clue what it's about!
WelI think that this year at least we can all give thanks that the orange idiot seems to be finally packing his bags. For now anyway..

Knowing that the Americans' Thanksgiving is related to the Pilgrim Fathers' first harvest, I once asked a Canadian what theirs was for, and they said they were giving thanks for not being American ;-)

Yes the Pilgrims, was shown on T.V. last night, only reason I know.
