Residents south of the A316 are becoming cut off

As the LBOH local Road closures slowly creep towards the edge of the Riverside Ward.Maybe the residents should file for independence and create a four ward.It feels as though the Riverside Councilors have no Idea of how many people live in this part of Chiswick. the Homefields Councilors would like us to disappear as we are to far and out of the way to be concern about any inconvenience that LBOH push our way.

Remember Bernard, that we are now called South Chiswick! Which sounds like the basis for a separate borough council. South Chiswick Borough Council anyone?

We all feel the same - we are all being cut off from other parts of the town. There is another forum coming up next week - get the questions in and made sure you are listened to.

In North Chiswick most of us feel the same.  Two out of three access routes to the High Road, South or West of the High Road are shut. Have to get a cab to the dentist tomorrow, will now allow 30 mins to get to SOTG as you don't know what kind of holdups might be involved.

Grove Park used to have 6 roads going in and out. Now only 2 are left unrestricted, and 1 of those is full of parked cars.Welcome to Cell Block GP.

RP > "... 1 of those is full of parked cars."I understand that cars spend around 95% of the time sitting idle like this. It is grossly inefficient. There needs to be a fundamental change in the way cars are used. Conversion to electrically-powered cars will have some effect on pollution levels, but will not reduce traffic congestion or the clogging of our streets with unused machines.

I can’t understand why LBH can’t limit parking on the section of Burlington Lane between Staveley Road and the A316. It must be the last non CPZ street in our area and it is constantly fully parked, even in the middle of the night. There is little passing room, which is even more of a problem since the traffic changes now make it so difficult to enter and leave Grove Park.

I agree with Brendan on Burlington Lane. It is the last place all the commuters can park - and they do. Is it maybe to do with staff from the school needing somewhere for their cars?

I doubt it's the school Iris. It's as bad at night.
