Peter, that is utter rubbish. TGT was not in any way dangerous for pedestrians. There is a light controlled crossing at the south end and a zebra at the north end. I have never had any problem crossing directly between these two points when I wanted. I sometimes think I lived in a parallel universe to some of the posters on here and social mediaNumerous parking bays were blocked purposefully to give more space to pedestrians, though I have yet to actually see someone walk in them.TGT still carries buses, taxes, lots of vans and deliverly lorries, scooters, some bikes and local access vehicles. The idea it is now some pedestrainised piazza is laughable. In fact repopening it has not created much additional traffic, at least from what I saw on Friday. So lets keep it open.I am confused by why constantly post the same thing when it is patently not true. Also I would note that Fisher Lane has not been pedestrianised so insisting in walking on the road itself is not advisable. Nor is remonstrating with drivers, which is not your job and can lead to confrontations. Note I am not condoning the drivers but pointing out what the police would advise in such situations.
