Sonos system

Another request can anyone recommend a wizard on the Sonos system ours has gone wrong and after a few attempts we have been unable to resolve it

I'm afraid I'm not a Sonos expert, but I recalled there being a fuss earlier in the year about them discontinuing support for some older models. Could your problem  be related to this?https://us.cnn.com/2020/01/24/cnn-underscored/sonos-legacy-speakers-guide/index.html

Thanks Carl, initially sound went, tried to restart the system but the person who installed it registered the system and I can’t seem to register it in my name to then update everything, I have tried but just got so frustrated hence looking for a wizard who can sort it all out. There must be someone locally 🙏🙏🙏 I don’t care how much it costs ha! It just needs sorting.

This would only really apply if Jayne had applied for the upgrade discount and effectively 'bricked' the older kit.

As I said I'm not personally acquainted with Sonos products - hopefully a simple reset will suffice in this case. Having something "bricked" on you is an  increasingly common occurrence - just last week I was told by the makers of something I own that I should prepare to chuck it away as it would soon no longer be supported.In some ways more worrying is how much stuff is now simply not repairable. I have a friend who has asked me for help  with two high-end bits of A/V kit where it turned out that the manufacturer had no repair policy - just an extended warranty period during which the device would be exchanged if it went wrong. Outside that period a discount would be offered on the purchase of a replacement. It's nice to always have the latest gadgets but I'm not sure it's the right way forward on a planet that's rapidly running out of resources.

One thing I've noted is that setting up Sonos (and running it) works much better from the iOS version of the Sonos app as opposed to the Android version.
