I blame the yet unopened cycle lane.

In the commonplace “survey” the A4 / Sutton Court Rd ‘hot spot’ received more comments than any other. Why were these ignored?https://southchiswicklnmap.commonplace.is/comments

Agreed. Every problem comes back to that cycle lane in the end. Major congestion  - Chiswick Cycle lane,  Queen Stuck in Traffic - Chiswick - Cycle Lane, Brexit - Chiswick Cycle lane.

That’s bollux, Ben. The only cycle lane is the one along the A4 that’s been there for ages and actually works. Probably because it’s not in the middle of the road.

Russell Pearson ● 2178d

Actually it’s also road closures.

Radio news reported a crash but this was not visible as we drove past.  2 vans stopped in the outside lane, car that appeared to have broken down just before the vans stopped in the inside lane with its bonnet up. 2 paramedic cars and police on the scene.

The A4 / M4 is the major source of road pollution locally. The LTNs just tinker with the issue. Hounslow keep on about protecting the 40,000 jobs at Heathrow. No joined up thinking, just pork barrel politics and virtue signalling.

No injuries I hope

Oh there will be Ben,  there will be.Just loved being stuck in traffic for over two hours tonight with all those “essential workers” ......

The sooner we all understand that as far as Hounslow Council and TfL are concerned Chiswick is just somewhere inconvenient between central London and Heathrow, then the sooner we can all just shut up and let them get on with it eh? Maybe time to visit GoFundMe....

I saw the start of it! Two stupid VW Golf drivers racing each other down the A4; centre and outer lane. The outer lane driver smashed into the vehicle in front of him. Total idiots!!

Probably trying to see who could get to Fisher's Lane underpass first.
