Grove Park / Strand on the Green.

What day are the revenue earning cameras for LBH going to be switched on?The reason I ask is a few times a week I pop over on my way home at work and check on my elderly parents who live in Grove Park Gardens.   I understand if I drive there direct from Kew Bridge via Thames Road I will get a ticket so it looks like I will have to go the long way round which I tried the other day and it took me an extra 25 minutes to do.Not very happy with this at all after reading on another thread a wile back by some smug arsehole who supports these schemes who said it would only add a few minutes to peoples journeys.

The Hartington Road scheme is not operational yet. No fixed date given yet. No sign posts or camera in place as of last night when I last drove past.  Don't know about the Strand on the Green side.

There is a camera apparently near the chicane in Hartington Rd - no idea if it's turned on though.  Presume that camera has to work with an other or several others??? to prove you've driven on and out of the area(s).  My daughter bringing me something from Brentford tomorrow, normally would go via S ot Green to me in Hartington Rd.  so I'd also like to know if anything's been turned on.  Diversions not funny.

In an ideal and moral world, shouldn't we be guided by the road signs and not by the presence or otherwise of cameras?

Simon, Yes sorry for that it was a bit colourful next time I will think before posting and leave the word smug out;-)So no date set yet hopefully when it starts the signs will be clear and not hidden.

I just cycled up Grove Park Terrace towards Fauconberg Rd and there is new(ish) signage advising throughroad for permit holders only between certain hours (school related times). It covers only a length of around 50 metre safter the railway crossing and near to the school. Signage - perhaps not unsurprisingly - is not at all clear and I presume has been set up as part of the LBH cash collecting fund.
