That's the problem with CHR - there's just too much pavement! It just encourages people to walk all over the place, sometimes with baby buggies, and cycle on it, and drive their mobility scooters along it, and sit outside drinking coffee on it, and set up stalls selling flowers and vegetables on it, until there's hardly any room to move, let alone keep two metres apart! (Remember that ancient tradition?!) If the pavements were narrower it would cut out most of the anti-social uses we witness today!
