PG: "Richard, to believe they are 'temporary' you need to believe both that Hounslow and TFL have not already made the decision, that any consultation is a serious process and not box ticking and subject to huge manipulation by cycling organisations."What I said was that this offers an opportunity which was not available under the old system, whereby once new arrangements were in place we were stuck with them, whether desirable or not.Of course, if you don't trust the bona fides of LBH, then they will still proceed according to their own pre-determined agenda - I make no comment on that. But if nothing else, the new system will make it that much harder for them to cleave to their agenda if the evidence is clear to all that the measures should be reversed, and this may be done so without great cost or disruption.
